With the #1 seed in the playoff locked up, Clingerman Painting was simply playing to keep the perfect season alive. However, the Doughboys were desperate for a win to stay in the playoff hunt, so the result was a hard fought game that saw Clingerman ultimately prevail 58-49. The Doughboys started strong and led 24-22 at the break. However, Clingerman tightened up the D after the break and created turnovers that allowed them to build a strong cushion and cruise to victory. Only poor foul shooting by CP kept it close down the stretch. Matt Strope led all scorers with 17, while Chris Clark added 15 for the victors. With the win, Clingerman moves to 9-0 and advances one stop closer in their quest for another league title.

As the regular season winds down, a match-up between the first place Clingerman Painting (7-0_ and the last place COPTS (0-7) appeared to be a walk in the park for the defending champs. However, someone forgot to tell COPTS that. After Clingerman opened strong and led 27-11 with eight minutes remaining in the first half, COPTS roared back to close the half trailing only 31-28. The surge woke up the Clingerman squad who clamped down on D and cruised to a 57-45 win. Chris Clark led the way with 15 points, while Joe Koeplin added 12. With the victory, Clingerman moves to 8-0 on the season and moves closer to locking up the #1 seed for the upcoming playoffs.

In a rematch of last season's thrilling playoff semifinal match-up, Clingerman Painting expected a tough challenge from the Luchadores. However, using great passing and efficient offense, the team opened the game with an 18-0 run and basically cruised to a 61-44 victory. Featuring a balanced attack that kept their opponents off-balance, Chris Clark led all scorers with 16 while Joe Koeplin added 11. Matt Strope chipped in 8 while playing his usual stellar defense. With the victory, Clingerman moves to 6-0 and continues to pace the league in search of their fourth title in six seasons.

The 2011 Winter Dublin Basketball league opened with a championship game rematch between the Dublin Ballers and Clingerman Painting, and the result was a physical, competitive battle. The holiday break was clearly evident as both teams had moments of sloppy play. Clingerman, the defending champs, had the early advantage opening a 27-16 lead, before ending the half up 31-24. Joe Koeplin had it going early and ended up scoring a game-high 16 points. However, the Ballers surged to open the second period and rallied back to take a five point lead. At this point, Clingerman tightened the defense and rallied back. In the closing two minutes Ron Hubbard buried a huge three-pointer, then with the scored tied 52-52, Mike Flanigan drove the lane and found Hubbard inside for the game-winning basket. In a great team effort, Francis gaspar and Matt Strope each tallied 10 points, while Hubbard finished with 8. With the 55-52 win, Clingerman opens the season 1-0 in the quest for their fourth championship in five seasons.

CLINGERMAN PAINTING 44, DUBLIN BALLERS 38

For the third time in four seasons, Clingerman Painting captured the Dublin D League crown. This time around, the team upended a traditional rival, the Dublin Ballers 44-38 to claim the league championship. Late in the first half, Clingerman trailed by 7 with 90 seconds left, but a 6-0 run to close the half got the momentum going. Clingerman took control for good early in the second half with a stingy defense and an efficient offensive attack. Led by the undisputed League MVP, Matt Strope, who took his overall floor game to another level in the playoffs, the team received a number of strong performances. Key amongst them was Francis Gaspar pouring in a game-high 14 points and sinking numerous big shots down the stretch to close out the game, while Joe Koeplin sank all 13 of his points in a critical first half performnace while the rest of the the Clingerman offense sputtered. Strope also added 10 in the winning effort.

Clingerman finished the season with a 10-2 mark and now moves forward in search of their fourth league title.

In the opening round of the 2010 Fall League Playoffs, the #1 seeded Clingerman Painting matched up against the #4 seed Luchadores. Clingerman opened strong and pushed ahead to a 25-16 halftime lead. However, the Luchadores took advantage of a Clingerman cold spell to take command in the second half and opened a 41-36 lead with only four minutes remaining. Clingerman showed the heart of a champion and ran off eight straight points to retake control. However, the team could not hit their free throws to ice the game and the game went into OT knotted at 47 all. In OT, the Luchadores struck first and led 52-50. After a Clingerman miss, the Luchadores secured the rebound with 12 seconds left and looked to be in control, until Matt Strope made the play of the game, by stealing the ball at midcourt and firing an assist to Francis Gaspar to tie the game back up. Then in Double OT, Strope again delivered scoring the winning bucket in sudden death to ensure Clingerman's advancement to their 7th straight championship game! Gaspar led all scorers with 12 points, while Mike Flanigan, Joe Koeplin, and Tony Lynch each chipped in 8. Strope was masterful on both ends of the court and made his case to be recognized as the league's Most Valuable Player. With the win, Clingerman advances to 9-2 on the season and a championship match-up with the Dublin Ballers.

Coming off their first loss of the season, Clingerman Painting was looking to regain some momentum for the approaching playoffs, but found themselves in a tough spot. Playing without leading scorer Ron Hubbard was a huge factor, while a match-up with a motivated Heat squad looking to stay alive in the playoff race presented more problems. The result turned out to be one of the team's best overall efforts of the season. After a sloppy first half that featured numerous missed free throws and turnovers by both clubs, Clingerman trailed by a 27-22 margin at the break. After halftime, it looked like a completely different Clingerman team had taken the floor. Playing efficiently and within control, the team began to put it together as Chris Clark started to rain threes from deep, while Matt Strope made his presence felt all over the court. The result was a 40-16 second half run that saw Clingerman win by a comfortable 62-43 margin. Francis Gaspar and Mike Flanigan each provided stellar efforts on both sides of the court to contribute to an excellent team effort. With the win, the retooled Clingerman squad moves to 7-1 and closes in on a #1 seed for the playoffs.

In a key battle with playoff implications, Clingerman Painting continued their surprising run with a 57-49 win over the Tri-Valley Warriors. Playing without leading scorer, Chris Clark, Clingerman fell behind early and trailed by a 34-21 margin at halftime. Reversing a trend that has been prevalent this season though, Clingerman put together a stellar second half on both ends of the floor and roared back for a 56-49 victory. Key to the tremendous win was the offense of Ron Hubbard who poured in a Clingerman Painting record 29 points and Matt Strope, who shook off two early fouls to anchor the defense and set the tone for a lockdown second half. With the win, Clingerman advances to 5-0 at the midway point of the season, while the Warriors slump to 2-3.

In an early season test of undefeated clubs, Clingerman Painting gained an early advantage in the standing with a 54-45 win over their long-time rival the Dublin Ballers. Behind the sweet shooting of Chris Clark, who nailed his first six shots, Clingerman opened the game on a 19-1 run and led by a 31-16 margin at halftime. Unfortunately a strained groin forced Clark to the bench for the remainder of the game, and as has been the recent story, the team slowed down in the second half and saw the Ballers make a late run, before eventually falling 54-45. With the win, Clingerman remains the only undefeated team with a 4-0 mark, while the Ballers fall to 3-1 on the season. No scoring total were available for this one.

CLINGERMAN PAINTING 65, WEEKEND WARRIORS 54

The new-look Clingerman Painting squad continued their successful opening to the Fall 2010 season with a 65-54 win over the Weekend Warriors. After a hard-fought opening that saw the Clingerman take a 19-18 lead, the team made a defensive switch and Matt Strope locked down the Warrior's primary threat. With some terrific passing and offensive execution, the team was able to open a 43-25 halftime lead. The second hald saw the Warriors make a late surge, but they were never able to pull closer than 7 points and Clingerman held on for a 65-54 win. New addition Chris Clark was the main offensive cog as he netted 25 points, while Mike Flanigan poured in 11. Strope and Francis Gaspar each added 8, while Ron Hubbard chipped in 7. With the win, Clingerman advances to a surprising 3-0 and moves towards a key first place match-up with the Dublin ballers next week.

Continuing their transition from a run and gun superpower to a more methodical patient ballclub, Clingerman continued their nice start to the year with a 50-44 over the Bulldawgs. After a competitive start that saw the Bulldawgs open an 11-10 lead, Clingerman ripped off 20 straight points to open a 30-11 advantage. The Bulldawgs fought back though and clawed their way to within three points in the final minute of the game before Clingerman iced the game from the line.

Francis Gaspar led a balanced scoring attack with 13 points, while newcomer Chris Clark added 11, Matt Strope had 9, and Mike Flanigan chipped in 8. With the win, Clingerman moves to 2-0 on the early season and continues to show tremendous effort on the defensive end and excellent offensive execution.

A new era in Clingerman Painting franchise history opened on a successful note, as the new look team opened with a gritty 42-32 win over the Tri Valley Warriors. No longer to rely onan explosive offensive attack, Clingerman played stifling defense and held the Warriors scoreless for the first 11 minutes of the game, however only led at halftime by a 15-10 margin. The second half featured a better offensive attack led by Ron Hubbard who poured in 19, while Francis Gaspar iced the game down the stretch with 10 points. As usual, Matt Strope owned the defensive side of the court and was ably assisted by Mike Flanigan. It wont be remembered as a classic, but it was good enough for the W to start the new season. Overall, this season looks to be wide open as almost any of the 8 teams can get a W on any given night. Should be a fun and interesting year.

In a rematch of last season's championship game, Clingerman Painting and His Pants battled in a semi-final showdown. Playing without leading scorer Carlos Doty, Clingerman anticipated a tough match-up and got one from the opening tip. His Pants started strong and jumped to an early 7-2 and stretched the advantage to 21-13 late in the first half. However, Clingerman rallied late and went into halftime with a 23-23 tie. In the second half, it was all Clingerman, as they opened the period with a 9-2 run and never looked back. All Jackson led a balance scoring attack with 15 points, while Charlie Ciceretto and Ron Hubbard had 11 apiece. Rounding out the scoring, Gary Fields had 8 and Tony Lynch 6 to help the cause. As usual, the defense was anchored by a strong effort from Matt Strope, Mike Flanigan, and Francis Gaspar. With the 51-39 victory, Clingerman moves to 10-1 on the season and advances to their sixth straight championship game where they face a sturdy challenge against the 10-1 Saints, who cruised to an easy win over Fed Ex.

The Spring 2010 playoffs have begun and Clingerman Painting looks primed to defend their title after a 68-38 systematic dismantlement of the #8 seed, Luchadores in an opening round match-up. After a scoreless few minutes to start the game, Clingerman turned it on and put up a 15-2 run to blow the game wide open. After falling behind by 20 points, the Luchadores closed the half strong to claw within 11 be the the midway point. Clingerman turned up the heat in the second half though, forcing turnovers and converting lay-ups on four straight possessions and opened with 13 straight points to effectively end the game. Carlos Doty led all scorers with 18 poins, while Ron Hubbard drained 5 three pointers en route to a 17 point effort. Al Jackson added 9 points and Charlie Cicerretto 8 as the team looked ready to make another championship run. With the win, Clingerman advances to 9-1 on the season.

For the first time in four seasons, Clingerman Painting found itself in an unfamiliar position of looking up in the standings to another team. So, in a well-timed battle of the top two teams in the league, there was plenty of drama and fireworks. In the end though, Clingerman Painting had regained control of 1st place with a hard fought 51-48 victory over the previously-undefeated Saints. Playing with a complete roster for the first time all season, Clingerman started fast and took a 21-18 advantage into halftime. However, the Saints opened the second half with an 8-0 run and took control of the game until the final minute. Trailing by four points with 40 seconds, Clingerman rallied, as Matt Strope converted a beautiful pass from Gary Fields into a game-tying layup in the closing seconds to force overtime. In OT, Clingerman took the early lead and used free throws to ice the victory. With the win, Clingerman finishes the regular season 8-1 and moves back to the top of the standings. Now the team begins its quest for a third straight championship.

After a stretch of 31 straight wins, Clingerman Painting finally was upended 43-40 against the Dublin Ballers. Despite playing several players short, Clingerman had their chances, but didnt make the key plays when needed. Gary Fields led all Clingerman scorers with 12 points, while Al Jackson added 11. Despite the loss, Clingerman's record stands at 7-1 on the season, and with a win in the final week against the undefeated Saints (8-0), can still claim the #1 seed in the league playoffs. To say it will be a big game would be an understatement!

In a match-up of the league's best and worst teams, the result was a predictable 63-34 win for Clingerman Painting over the Chamberlings. Continuing a trend of hot starts, Clingerman started the game on a 23-1 run and cruied from there. Carlos Doty had the hot hand this week, showing no ill effects from his lingering ankle injury and led all scorers with 24 points, while Matt Strope continued to dominate on both ends of the floor with 12 points and 12 blocked shots. Showing the depth of the lineup that was missing Chalie Ciceretto, Ali Franklin, and Gary Fields, Ron Hubbard and Francis Gaspar each added 8, while Al Jackson chipped in 6. The victory allows Clingerman Painting to advance to 6-0 on the season and marks a milestone 30th straight victory.

A rematch of last season's championship game against His Pants promised to be a challenge for Clingerman Painting, given that several key players remained out of the lineup. However, as usual, Clingerman found a way to prevail by a score of 68-62 and extend their franchise record winning streak to 29 games. This time out, Al Jackson had the hot hand as he scored 16 first half points en route to a 22 point outburst. His hot start helped Clingerman start the game on a 13-0 run and build a 42-24 halftime advantage. However, His Pants would not go down so easily and used the three ball to rally back in the second half to within 5 points in the final minute. However, Ron Hubbard iced the game with big-time free throw shooting and finished with a season best 17 points to help the cause. Another huge factor in this game was the welcome return of former Platinum Pipeline star, Gary Fields who led the fast-paced attack and played his usual sparkling defense. Matt Strope also dazzled on the defensive end, blocking 8 shots, including a critical three point attempt in the closing moments of the game. With the win, Clingerman moves to 5-0 on the season, and looks to have more depth and firepower than at any point in franchise history.

Still, using strong defensive play and excellent teamwork, the two-time defending champions won an ugly 47-35 contest against the Tri Valley Heat. Carlos Doty and Francis Gaspar led the way on the offensive end with 12 points each, while Ron Hubbard added 9. On the defensive side of the floor, Matt Strope dominated as usual, hitting the double digit mark in blocks yet again. With the win, Clingerman advances to 4-0 on the season and records their 28th straight victory, while the Heat sink to 1-3.

However, the Clingerman Painting express continued its roll with a 56-39 win. Ali Franklin had the hot hand as he poured in 25 points, including several rim-rattling dunks from his arsenal, while Carlos Doty added 15. Al Jackson and Tony Lynch each chipped in 7 points. Matt Strope was also his usual intimidating defensive presence as he hit double digits in the shot-blocking category yet again. With the win, Clingerman improves to 3-0 on the season and records its 27th straight victory in a quest to threepeat as league champs.

Revenge is sweet! A few seasons back, the Fed Ex Warriors owned this team as we had a lifetime mark of 0-3 against them. However, this time around they faced a new, more powerful version of our squad. The result was a 65-54 win for Clingerman Painting. Charlie Ciceretto was a force scoring 23 points, while Carlos Doty added 15 and newcomer, Ali Franklin debuted with 14. This proved to be one of Clingerman's most consistent efforts as they led the entire way and never let the high-scoring Warriors seize control. With the win, Clingerman moves to 2-0 and clears the way to securing a #1 seed in the playoffs for yet another season.

After celebrating their second straight championship, Clingerman Painting began the defense of their title and opened the 2010 Dublin Spring League with a dominant 73-49 victory over the Tri-Valley Warriors. Clingerman came out blazing and jumped to a 35-13 advantage, before the Warriors ran off ten straight points to close the half trailing only by 12. Early on though, Clingerman re-established control and simply had their way from both inside and the outside against an over-matched Warriors' squad that has been a regular playoff team the past few seasons. In a true team effort, every player scored at least 6 points and the team tallied 11 three-pointers. Clearly recovered from a sore ankle, Carlos Doty led all scorers with 19 points, while Charlie Ciceretto had 14 and Al Jackson had 11. While the offensive attack was not at its best, Clingerman played excellent defense throughout, led by Matt Strope and Mike Flanigan, and limited the chances for His Pants to score an upset. Clingerman was led by Charlie Ciceretto's 19 points, while Carlos Doty, Al Jackson, and Strope each added 8 and Ron Hubbard chipped in 7. Ciceretto scored 10 of the team's first 13 point and helped get the team off to a quick lead they would never relinquish. Clingerman held an early 24-20 halftime advantage, and their determined opponent fought hard to keep within striking distance throughout. The second half was close throughout, but a key sequence occurred with approximately five minutes left when Jackson buried a three from the corner to open an eight point lead, then stole the inbounds pass and converted another three point play to extend the lead to 11. The first half featured some good defense, as the Heat were held to only 3 points over the first 17 minutes of the game, before exploding for 9 in the final 3 minutes to close the halftime gap to a score of 23-12. In the second half, the Heat made their push and rallied to within a 28-26 score, before Clingerman woke up and surged to a runaway victory down the stretch. Carlos Doty had the hot hand and scored 21 points, while Matt Strope and Ron Hubbard each added 8 points to the cause. With the playoffs quickly approaching, Clingerman Painting appears to be firing on all cylinders after a 71-49 destruction of the Warriors that saw the team light it up from long distance. After a slow start that saw the Warriors temporarily hold the lead through the first ten minutes of play, Clingerman turned it on with strong defensive intensity and unselfish play and raced to a 40-26 halftime advantage. The 2nd Half was ever even more lopsided as Clingerman led by as much as 34 points at times. Charlie Ciciretto led a balanced scoring attack with 17 points, while Carlos Doty and Tony Lynch each added 11, and Al chipped in 10. Matt Strope played his usual dominant defensive game as he made the Warriors' best player work for every shot and rejected three of his shots along the way. For the game, the team combined to make 10 treys including three each from Al and Tony. Despite losing two key players this season, Clingerman Painting continues to roll. This time around, the team smashed the Dublin Ballers 52-32 to start the Winter 2010 league with a 2-0 mark and notch their 14th straight win. New addition, Charlie, was the key contributor this time around as he scored 23 points and went 13 of 14 from the free throw line. He received scoring support from both Carlos Doty and Cody Morgan who added 8 points each, and Matt Strope who chipped in 6. The new-look Dublin Ballers opened the game on a 14-7 run, but Clingerman rallied back to close the half and led 22-18 at the break. In the 2nd half, as in previous weeks, Clingerman locked down on defense and held the Ballers to 12 points, and cruised to victory. Next up is a match-up with the Doughboys, a perennial Dublin League rival.

The Winter 2010 Dublin Basketball League opened play last night with the new-look Clingerman Painting squad facing off in a championship game rematch with the Tri-Valley Warriors. Clingerma jumped out to an early lead with some offensive firepower from leading scorer Carlos Doty who finished the evening with 16 points, but a late Warriors surge allowed them to cut the deficit to a manageable 25-20 halftime score. In the second half, Clingerman turned up the defensive pressure and held the Warriors to 4 points in the first 18 minutes of the half and ran away for an easy opening night victory by a score of 49-30. New comers Cody Morgan, Francis Gaspar, and Charlie each had impressive debuts and look to be strong additions to the Clingerman franchise. With the victory, Clingerman moves to 1-0 and extends the franchise winning streak to 13 games and a 25-2 mark over the past 2+ seasons. Based on the strong start, the team looks like it will still contend for the championship despite the loss of star point guard, Gary Fields.

At long last, Clingerman Painting (the team formerly know as Pipeline Platinum) can call themselves champion after completing a perfect 12-0 run through the 2009 Fall season for the Dublin Recreation Department. The team capped their most successful season in franchise history with a tough 47-34 win over the second-seeded Warriors. Clingerman jumped out to an early advantage, but a late Warriors' run to close the half cut the deficit to a single point at 21-20. Clingerman started the 2nd half strong with a couple buckets, but the Warriors surged back for nine straight points to take a 29-25 lead with 7:30 remaining in the game. While this could have been the harbinger of past playoff failures, the team showed its true character by responding with a 17-0 run capped by the tremendous defensive efforts of Matt Strope, Mike Flanigan, and Gary Fields. The trio forced numerous turnovers and bad shots that allowed Jeff Ridenour, Ron Hubbard, and Carlos Doty to convert those chances into points to seal the win. Overall it was a balanced effort that saw the team claim their first Dublin championship, after three previous appearances in the big game. Fields' performance on both ends of the floor was nothing short of amazing considering the toe injury that had listed him as "Doubtful" for the championship. It was a fitting game for the team's floor leader to end the season with, as he moves into a temporary retirement period. With Clingerman Painting planning to return for the Winter 2010 season, it remains to be seen how the team will respond to such a key loss in personnel. Still, the past two seasons have been a spectacular run and saw the franchise roll to 22 wins in 24 appearances, a tremendous accomplishment by any standard.

In a battle of 8-0 (Clingerman Painting) vs 0-8 (Luchadores), it would be easy to be guilty of looking ahead on the schedule with the playoffs looming. The result was a tougher than expected battle from the Luchadores who stayed within striking distance for 3/4 of the game. Clingerman didnt have the sharpest offensive attack of the season, but as usual the defense was rock solid. After a close first half, Clingerman ended the period with a beautiful inbounds pass from Gary Fields to a cutting Jeff Ridenour for a layup at the buzzer that stretched the lead to 9 points, at 26-17. However, the Luchadores surged back and with 14 minutes remaining in the game had narrowed the deficit to a single bucket. That's when he Clingerman defense clamped down and began to convert turnovers into easy breakaway baskets. For the game, Ridenour dominated inside and led all scorers with 16 points, while Ron Hubbard made the defense pay from long range, finishing with 11 points. Carlos Doty and Gary Fields each added 10 points. The 54-34 win brings Clingerman to 9-0, while the Luchadores slump to 0-9.

In a battle of the division's top two teams, the #2 Tri-Valley Warriors found themselves in position to secure a portion of first place with a win over Clingerman Painting. However, that was not to be, as Clingerman put together a fantastic all-around effort and clinched the #1 seed in the playoffs with a resounding 52-38 victory. Playing without leading scorer Carlos Doty, things figured to be tough for the division leaders, however they received an unexpected offensive boost from Mike Flanigan and Tony Lynch who combined for 19 points. Flanigan went 6 of 7 from the line and finished with 10 points, while Lynch when 3 of 5 from long range and added 9. As usual, Jeff Ridenour did the heavy lifting inside and powered his way to a team-high 16, which Matt Strope added 13 and locked-down the Warriors' leading scorer. Rounding out the excellent team effort, Ron Hubbard directed the offense from the free throw line with an array of creative assists, while Gary Fields played his usual terrific defense and forced a number of turnovers that resulted in multiple fast break scoring chances. After several weeks of having players missing, the team was finally back in full force last night, and every player was needed in what turned out to be a much tougher game than expected. Lacking their "A" game, Clingerman Painting fell behind early, and for the first time all season trailed at halftime 23-17. Then, five minutes into the second half, they fell into a deeper hole and trailed 28-19. At that point though, the team got serious and cranked up the defensive intensity. Over the game's final 15 minutes, Clingerman allowed only 8 points, and took every opportunity to open up the running game to create offensive scoring chances. Jeff Ridenour paced the attack with 14 points, while Carlos Doty, Gary Fields, and Matt Strope each had 8 points. Ron Hubbard rounded out the scoring with 5 points. The win elevates Clingerman Painting to 7-0, and sets up a first place showdown next week with the second place team, the Tri-Valley Warriors.

In a battle of undefeated teams, Clingerman Painting emphatically sent a message to the Tri-Valley Warriors with a resounding 54-35 thumping. It was easily the team's best effort this season, which probably had to do with the return of starting power forward Jeff Ridenour. The result was terrific floor balance and ball movement which allowed the team to utilize all of its offensive firepower. As he has all season, Carlos Doty led the scoring attack with 12 points, scoring from both long and short range, while Ron Hubbard had 11 points and Ridenour added 10. Matt Strope also played a fantastic all-around game as he poured in 12 points and was more than up to the task of slowing down the Warrior's top player, making him work for every bucket. Not to be forgotten, Gary Fields and Mike Flanigan were both aggressive on the defensive end and forced numerous turnovers which prevented the Warriors from ever finding their offensive rhythm. The first half was a well contested battle that saw the Warriors cut a double-digit lead to a mere three points, and ended with Clingerman up 25-22. To start the second half, Clingerman dropped the hammer and opened the period with a 14-2 run to effectively end the game. With the win, Clingerman Painting vaults to 3-0 and undisputed possession of first place, while the Tri-Valley Warriors fall to 2-1. Over the last 17 games, the team is an impressive 15-2 and continues to surge towards it's first championship.

Continuing the strong start to the Fall 2009 Basketball Season, an undermanned Clingerman Painting squad produced a workmanlike effort and ground out a 61-44 victory over The Doughboys. Playing with only five players, Clingerman was led by the three-pronged scoring attack of Carlos Doty, Ron Hubbard, and Gary Fields. Doty led all scorers with 21 points as he hit shots from every spot on the floor and frustrated the defense to no end. Hubbard also was particularly strong, as he poured in 15 and proved to be a deadly long-range threat. After a slow start, the team found it's rhythm in the closing minutes of the first half and Hubbard punctuated a strong run by draining a three-pointer at the buzzer to close the period with a 32-23 lead. The game also featured strong two-way efforts from both Gary Fields (14 points) and Matt Strope (8 points). Next up is a match-up with the dangerous Tri-Valley Warriors in a game that will determine who sits atop the standings early in the season.

Let the Clingerman painting Era begin!

Coming off a disheartening championship loss and a three-week break, the newly-minted Clingerman Painting squad was at risk of not being ready to put forth their best performance. Compounding this was the absence of starting Forward Jeff Ridenour, and the time missed by rehabbing Center, Matt Strope. So it was no surprise that the team played one of their sloppiest games of the past few seasons with numerous turnovers and missed shots. Luckily, Carlos Doty brought his A-game and led all scorers with 19 points, as the team opened the Fall 2009 season with a workmanlike 43-30 win over The Heat. As always, the defense was stellar as Strope was back to his dominant shot-blocking presence, while Gary Fields and Mike Flanigan wreaked havok and created numerous turnovers. Ron Hubbard was also a force on both ends of the floor as he added 10 points. While not the most memorable game in team history, a win is a win, and starts the new season and era on the right track.

In the playoffs, anything can happen! So even with the 1st place Pipeline Platinum matching up with the 4th place Doughboys, no one was looking past this game. The challenge was compounded by the injury to defensive star, Matt Strope, who sat out with a lingering knee injury. Still, when it comes to this rivalry, Platinum doesnt need any extra motivation to get up for this opponent, playoffs or no playoffs. That was clearly the case with Jeff Ridenour who was an absolute beast on the boards and in the paint. Take control of the game early, he set the tone for a tough defensive battle and also led all scorers with 17 points. Gary Fields was also a key component to the win he was aggreesive on both sides of the floor and added 15 points. While the offensive game was a bit sloppy, the defensive remained stifling and resulted in a 49-28 win for Platinum who cruised to 10-1. Next up is a rematch with MOG for the league title. Will Platinum in their third straight championship game finally be able to get over the hump?

With the regular season winding down, all Pipeline Platinum had to play for was the conclusion of a perfect season. However, with half the team missing against a hungry 2nd place Has Beens' squad, the task would be difficult. The difficulty was compounded by the loss of defensive star, Matt Strope to a serious knee injury early in the 2nd Half. Still Platinum battled mightily on the strength of starting backcourt stars, Gary Fields and Carlos Doty. However, several key mistakes down the stretch haunted the club and resulted in a double OT sudden death loss, 56-54. With the loss, Platinum falls to 9-1, while the Has Beens finish at 8-2. This sets up a grudge match for the finals, if both should advance that far. As the #1 seed, Platinum opens against the Doughboys in Rd 1 of the playoffs, while the Has Beens meet up with MOG. In a match-up of 8-0 (Pipeline Platinum) vs 0-8 (Dublin Ballers), one should never take for granted what the result will be. With the playoffs around the corner, Pipeline Platinum was clearly guilty of not bringing their A game to this match-up. The game proved to be a sloppy, ugly affair that featured poor shooting and numerous turnovers by both clubs. After building a 25-18 halftime lead, Platinum came out flat to start the 2nd Half and gave up six straight points and saw their lead shrink to a single point. That seemed to be the wakeup call the team needed. After a timeout, Platinum surged back to take control and won going away by a score of 52-35. The victors were lead by 18 points apiece from the inside/outside combination of Gary Fields and Jeff Ridenour, while Ron Hubbard added 8. Matt Strope continued on his runaway campaign for defensive player of the year. With the win, Platinum moves to 9-0 and clinches the #1 seed for the playoffs, while the Ballers sink to 0-9.

Coming off a two week layoff and matched with an opponent with a 1-6 record, the possibility for a letdown for league-leading Pipeline Platinum loomed large. However given the personal history between the teams, it had to be clear they would bring their A-game. Right off the bat, the rust was evident and after a sluggish start with numerous turnovers, the game was knotted at 10-10. Thats when Platinum turned it up a notch on both ends of the court and took off on a 28-3 run that effectively ended the game. Ron Hubbard led a balanced scoring attack with a team-high 14 points. Carlos Doty added 13, while Gary Fields and Jeff Ridenour each had 12. Mike Flanigan displayed some fine long-range shooting and aggressive defense and finished with 8 points. Matt Strope was also a major factor as he tallied 7 blocks despite missing the first quarter of the game. Overall, it was a workmanlike effort that kept the team undefeated and tuned up for the weeks to come. If the mark of a good team is being able to win games on nights when you don't have your "A" game, Pipeline Platinum passed the test as they gutted out a tough 41-36 win over MOG. In what has been a dominant season thus far, Platinum had both an off night shooting and an unusually high number of turnovers. MOG entered the game on a roll having won four of their last five and tallying 151 points over the last two weeks. However, they were stuffed by the stifling defense of Pipeline Platinum. As usual, the anchor to the defense was Matthew Strope who continued to rack up blocked shots, while also dropping in 12 points. The team's leading scorer for the season, Carlos Doty, also chipped in 12, while Jeff Ridenour, playing limited minutes due to foul trouble added 10. Perhaps the biggest points of the night came from Gary Fields, who drained a critical three in the closing moments, then knocked down a pair of free throws to seal the victory. With the victory, Platinum concludes their first run through the match-ups with every team in the league with a perfect 7-0 mark.

In a Father's Day showdown between the D League division leaders, the Tri-Valley Warriors learned who their daddy was after a 73-48 thrashing at the hands of Pipeline Platinum. While both teams were missing a key player, Platinum displayed the depth of their squad with a balanced attack that simply overwhelmed the Warriors. Though playing under the weather, Gary Fields directed the attack and led all scorers with 19 points, while also repeatedly finding open teammates for easy buckets. He was not the only one that lit up the scoreboard though. Carlos Doty added 15, while Matt Strope and Ron Hubbard each poured in 14. With starting power forward Jeff Ridenour missing, Hubbard was much more aggressive in looking for his shot and delivered going four of five from beyond the arc. Mike Flanigan was also strong on both ends of the floor scoring 8 points and collecting a number of steals. Overall it was a tremendous team effort that featured unselfish play and highlighted the fact that this team has a number of go-to guys. The victory pushes Platinum to 6-0 as they continue their push to collect their first Dublin league title. With the loss, the Warriors drop to 4-2.

There was once a time that the Doughboys were one of Pipeline Platinum's greatest rivals, but after a disappointing championship game lost two seasons back, Pipeline has ran off four straight wins over their long-time nemesis. The latest meeting between the two was the most emphatic win yet as Platinum absolutely mauled the Doughboys 74-33. The first half featured a terrific defensive effort that saw Platinum hold their opponents to merely ten points, while the second half was an offensive blitz that saw the winners put up a season-best 45 points. It was a terrific team effort from start to finish.

Platinum was led by the dynamic starting backcourt of Gary Fields and Carlos Doty who combined for 35 points. Fields led all scorers with 18, while Doty poured in 17. In a true team effort, Platinum also got 12 points from Tony Lynch who knocked down four treys, and 10 a piece from Matt Strope and Jeff Ridenour. Ron Hubbard added 6. With the victory, Platinum moves to 5-0 and remains alone in first place. The loss drops the Doughboys to 3-2. Next up for Platinum is a Father Day match-up with West Division leader, the Tri-Valley Warriors (4-1).

Looking at the numbers, Platinum is dominating with their defense. Through five games, the team has yielded only 31.4 points per game, while scoring approximately 59 points per game. If defense is truly the key to winning championships, Platinum could be on their way to claiming their first league title.

Pipeline Platinum continued to play exceptional basketball with a 53-36 thrashing of the Luchadores. Playing without leading scorer Jeff Ridenour, Carlos Doty took charge of the offense and dominated early en-route to a 19-point effort, scoring equally well from both inside and out. Matt Strope was also tremendous on both ends of the floor as he played his usual harassing defense, but also added 10 points. Rounding out the leading scorers, Gary Fields had 8 and Mike Flanigan had 7 as Platinum upped it's record to 4-0. The tone was set early as Doty and Fields got the scoring started quickly with some easy transition baskets, and the team raced to a 17-point halftime advantage. Flanigan punctuated the stellar half with a buzzer beating three to close the period. In the second half, the team was basically able to take it's foot off the gas and cruise towards the finish line. Overall, Platinum continues to succeed with a smothering defense that is surrendering only 31 points a game. Next up for the first-place team is a match-up with old rivals, The Doughboys (3-1).

Pipeline Platinum continued their strong start to the 2009 Dublin Summer Basketball League with a 51-30 thrashing of division rival, the Has Beens. The first half was a physical back-and-forth affair that saw Pipeline Platinum fail to capitalize on numerous opportunities around the bucket and from the charity stripe. The result was a five-point deficit with three minutes remaining in the half. However, Platinum turned up the defensive pressure and ran off six straight point to close the period, punctuated by a Pistol-like no-look assist from Ron Hubbard to Jeff Ridenour as time expired to give the team a 20-19 halftime lead.

The second half was all Pipeline Platinum, whose defense anchored by Matt Strope, held the previously-undefeated Has Beens to only five points over a fifteen minute stretch. Carlos Doty led the winners with 16 points, while Ridenour added 10 and Strope chipped in 7. Gary Fields and Mike Flanigan both contributed stellar defensive efforts, while Hubbard continued to amaze with his assortment of passes. On a day with the weather blazing outside, Pipeline Platinum was just as hot inside as they scorched the Dublin Ballers 69-35.

Showing no ill effects from an ankle injury that limited him in the season opener, Gary Fields was dominant on both ends of floor as he poured in 20 points to lead the club. He got plenty of help though, as Carlos Doty added 16 and Jeff Ridenour had 15. Tony Lynch also nailed four treys for 12 points. Though he wasn't a huge presence on the score sheet, Matt Strope continued to anchor the defense and added to his league-leading blocked shot numbers while Ron Hubbard, returned in limited minutes from a nasty bout with the flu to display his passing wizardry and all-around skills. Overall, it was a tremendous team effort that was highlighted by defensive intensity and unselfish ball movement. With the victory, Pipeline Platinum moves to 2-0 and remains in 1st Place of the Dublin "D" League's East Division.

Pipeline Platinum opened Summer League-play on the right track with a dominant 48-23 victory over The Heat, which featured a number of former PP members. While the offense was not at its best, the defense was rock solid and limited The Heat to very few good opportunities to do damage. Showing no ill effects from his previous injuries, Jeff Ridenour paced the team with 15 points. Matt Strope was a force on both ends of the court with 10 points and at least five blocked shots. Carlos Doty chipped in eight, while Ron Hubbard displayed his passing wizardry to ring up numerous assists. Overall, it was a nice bounce-back game after the disappointing Championship effort. Next up is a battle with the Dublin Ballers, who look to be a force in this division. It should be an excellent match-up.

With their season on the line, and leading scorer Jeff Ridenour in Hawaii, Pipeline Platinum was facing a most difficult predicament. Especially given the fact that their opponent, Dublin Toyota, had beaten them in their last two meetings. Still, the team brought their best defensive effort of the year and had just enough offense to win a tough playoff elimination game, 42-36. Matt Strope keyed the important win. Known for his phenomenal defense and rebounding, he surprised Dublin Toyota with his long-range shooting en route to a game-high 14 points. In fact, he scored 12 of the team's 20 points in the first half. Gary Fields also contributed a strong all-around effort with 13 points, while Mike Flanigan played lock-down defense and chipped in 8 points. The win raised the team's record to 7-4 and ensured a second straight Championship game, this time against the undefeated Fed Ex (10-0). This promises to be difficult challenge, but Pipeline Platinum has showed tremendous heart in staving off elimination for two straight weeks, and will definitely not lack for effort in this one. A game that had no true playoff implications for Pipeline Platinum turned into a hard-fought and controversial affair. Playing without PF Jeff Ridenour, Platinum faced a tall task in battling their long-time rival, The Doughboys, who seem to stock their roster with a surplus of big-bodied goons. The result was a more perimeter-oriented offense. After a sluggish start that saw Pipeline Platinum fall behind 18-10, the team rallied back to cut the deficit to 20-19 at the half. The second half was a whole different game as the team heated up from long-distance to take command of the game. Platinum surged out of the gates outscoring their opponents 8-0 in the first minute and never looked back. Carlos Doty led all scorers with 21. Matt Strope provided exemplary defense and had a number of savage blocks of The Doughboys best player. In the end, the team cruised to a 54-40 win over their overmatched nemesis. Next up for the 5-3 team is the first round of the playoffs with an opponent to be determined.

In a sloppy, all-around ugly game, Dublin Toyota managed the upset over Pipeline Platinum 52-51. Leading from the opening minutes, Dublin Toyota clearly played more inspired ball as they need a victory to try and move up in the standings, and avoid Fed Ex in the first round of the playoffs. Playing without PG Gary Fields, Platinum was far too careless with the ball, and turned it over far too often. Jeff Ridenour scored 26 points to lead all scorers and give his club a chance to win, while Ron Hubbard added 11. With the loss, Pipeline Platinum drops to 4-3.

Revenge is sweet! Pipeline Platinum continued their successful run with a 47-33 victory over the Doughboys. After a sluggish first half that saw Platinum with a slight 18-16 lead, they turned things on with a strong second half to steam roll their over-matched opponents. Key to that were Carlos Doty's 12 points, all of which came after the break. Jason Cross also delivered 10 big points, while the rest of the team exhibited great ball movement and strong D. With the win, the team snaps a three-game losing streak to their nemesis, while moving into sole possession of second-place with a 3-1 record.

After a two week break, Pipeline Platinum returned to action with an efficient 54-40 win over Dublin Toyota. The win was especially nice considering the absence of "The Human Eraser", Matt Strope. After a back and forth 1st half that concluded with Platinum trailing 24-22, the team turned up the defensive intensity in the 2nd half and held Dublin Toyota to 4 points in the first ten minutes after the break. The terrific passing also helped to jump start the offense. Carlos Doty converted numerous three point plays in the paint, en route to scoring 13 of his 15 points after halftime, and helped to wear down the opposition. Jeff Ridenour led all scorers with 16 as he dominated the middle, while Gary Fields had 8 and Ron Hubbard had 7. Next up for Platinum is a rematch with our favorite rival, The Doughboys for second place.

FED EX 59, PIPELINE PLATINUM 53

After a fairly easy win in Week One, Pipeline Platinum hit a major roadblock in their quest for a league title, dropping a tough 59-53 game to newcomers Fed Ex. There's always a danger when facing the unknown, and after a fairly even start that saw Fed Ex jump to an 11-9 lead, they used a "shock and awe" blitzing to open a 30-9 advantage. However, showing plenty of heart and grit, Pipeline Platinum regroup and was able to close the score to 33-30 by halftime. The second half proved to be a hardfought one that see-sawed back and forth. The key play happened with approximately 3 minutes remaining and Fed Ex leading 52-51. Carlos Doty drove the lane and appeared to be fouled, which should have resulted in a pair of free throws. Incredibly, the refs called no foul and gave the ball which went out of bounds to Fed Ex. No surprisingly, Fed Ex came down and drained a three which resulted in a five point swing and effectively sealed the game.

Despite the loss, the team had a balanced offensive effort, which saw four players hit double figures. Matt Strope and Gary Fields each had 12 points to lead the team, while Carlos Doty and Jeff Ridenour added 10 each. With the loss, Pipeline Platinum drops to 1-1, and now faces a two-week bye to regroup.

In what proved to be a nice tune-up for the Winter 2009 Season, Pipeline Platinum rolled to a 54-36 league opener that they controlled from start to finish. As usual, Jeff Ridenour was a formidable presence in the paint and paced the team with 14. Gary Fields added 9 and proved to be a force on both ends of the floor. In a pleasant surprise, a finally-healthy Tony Lynch displayed flashes of his old shooting touch as he knocked down three treys for 9 points. Carlos Doty also chipped in 8 to round out the leading scorers. Overall, this was a terrifc opening effort with exemplary team play and defense. Next up is a match with the new additions to the league, Fed Ex!

2009 SEASON SET TO OPEN

2009 is here and basketball season returns for the Pipeline Platinum franchise! The 2009 squad boasts the return of the entire group who finished in second place during the previous 2008 Fall League, so expectations for this team are understandably high. Will this be the year the team puts it together to claim its first title. Time will tell! DOUGHBOYS 43, PIPELINE PLATINUM 38

The 2008 Dublin Recreation Fall League came to a disappointing finish for Pipeline Platinum on Sunday with a 43-38 defeat to the Doughboys for the league championship. As in the two previous meetings with the eventual champs, Pipeline led at halftime, but struggled in the 2nd Half. Poor shooting and turnovers were the main problems this time around as Pipeline failed to connect on anything beyond the Three Point Line. With the loss, Pipeline finished the year with an 8-4 mark. Still, 2009 looks bright with a strong returning cast and plenty of motivation to claim the league title.

PIPELINE PLATINUM 62, WARRIORS 55

In a sensational semi-final pitting the #2 Warriors against the #3 Pipeline Platinum, the veteran-laden Pipeline squad rallied down the stretch to take control and hold off their youthful rivals 62-55. A balanced team effort saw a number of player step forward in a see-saw battle that featured constant lead changes throughout. Gary Fields topped all scorers with 13 points, while Jeff Rideour and Mike Flanigan each chipped in 11. Matt Strope was also terrific as he rejected at least four shots and added 10 points himself.

With the win, Pipeline earns their shot at redemption against the Doughboys who own two buzzer-beater wins over them this season. Can they do it three times? If so, they are going to have to overcome a surging club that is hitting all cylinders for the final showdown, which promises to be a good one.

PIPELINE PLATINUM 49, DUBLIN TOYOTA 43

It was by no means pretty, and will never be remembered as a classic, but Pipeline Platinum will take the win, just the same, as they completed the regular season with a 49-43 triumph over Dublin Toyota. After jumping out to a 10-2 start, Pipeline seemed to grow content and lackadaisical and played a sloppy remainder of the first half. The result was a 19-18 halftime deficit. At halftime, sensing a need to turn up the heat, PP responded with some extra aggression, which proved the difference. Jeff Ridenour scored all of his game-high 13 in the second half. Matt Strope added 12 and Gary Fields chipped in 10 for the victors.

Next up is Round One of the playoffs as the #3 seed Platinum Pipeline (7-3) takes on the #2 seed, Warriors (8-2). The season series stands at 1-1 and the winner here gets a trip to the finals to meet the #1 seed Doughboys (9-1).

It was by no means a classic performance, but it was a win, as Pipeline survived a scare from the reconstructed fourth-place, Mancini's Sleepworld to hold on for a 40-31 victory. Jeff Ridenour paced Pipeline with 13 points and Gary Fields added 11 in his return to the lineup. With the win, Pipeline moves to 6-3 and secures, at worst, the #3 seed for the upcoming playoffs.

Warriors 68, Pipeline Platinum 65

It was a case of too little, too late for Pipeline Platinum as they made a furious 2nd Half comeback that fell just short as dropped a 68-65 decision to the Warriors. The game started out at the Warriors pace as they took advantage of turnovers and raced to a 44-30 halftime lead. After the break though, Pipeline upped the defensive intensity and began to work the ball for high-percentage shots and closed to within 3 several times over the last couple of minutes. The team could not get over the hump though and the loss drops them to 5-3 with two games to go before the Playoffs. Matt Strope had an active game and led all scorers with 23 points, while Jeff Ridenour added 22 and Carlos Doty chipped in 18.

Coming off a disappointing loss, Pipeline Platinum showed no ill effects of the setback as they rebounded with a dominating effort and systematic destruction of the overmatched Out of Shape, 76-36. In a true team effort, five different players scored in double figures led by Jeff Ridenour's 17 points. New addition Carlos Doty made a noticeable contribution as well chipping in 14 in his Pipeline debut. Rounding out the scorers, Ron Hubbard added 12, Gary Fields 11, and Jason Cross 10 in a balanced attack that saw the team operating at maximum efficiency. On the defensive end, Matt Strope continued to terrorize opponents and add to his league lead in Blocked Shots. Next up for the Pipeline is a rematch with the other first place contender, the Warriors. A win here would vault the team back into contention for the #1 seed in the playoffs.

PIPELINE DROPS HEARTBREAKER TO DOUGHBOYS, 38-36

In a game that had a "deja vu"-feel to it, Pipeline dropped their second game of the season in a disappointing rematch with the Doughboys, 38-36. In a game that was eerily-similar to their first meeting, Pipeline led the game throughout and had a 10-point second half lead, which they squandered over the final few minutes. The heartbreaker came on a second consecutive buzzer beater loss from a team that defeated them earlier in the year. Looked at as a whole, this was easily the worst performance by the team this season, in terms of shooting, turnovers, and other mistakes. However, after the first loss, the team was fired up and responded with some excellent team basketball, and one suspects this will have a similar effect.

The loss drops Pipeline to 4-2, with a key game against Out of Shape next on the schedule.

PIPELINE ROLLS TO FOUTH STRAIGHT WIN

The good times continue to roll for Pipeline Platinum, as they recorded their fourth straight last night with a 48-32 victory over Dublin Toyota. The win concludes the season's first half and assured Pipeline a share of first place with a 4-1 record.

After a lackluster first half that saw the team squander an 18-8 lead, things were all knotted up at the break. However, the team cranked up the defensive intensity in the second half and completely frustrated their opponents, who were held to 10 points over the next 18 minutes. Jeff Ridenour led all scorers with 18 points and numerous assists, including a beautiful around-the-back dish to Matt Strope in transition. Gary Fields also had a tremendous effort with 16 points and a multitude of offensive boards. Strope's defensive skills were put on display as well, as he limited Dublin's Center and made him work for every point and rebound.

Next up is a rematch of the opening night loss to the Doughboys, and some payback is definitely in order.

Whenever Pipeline Platinum and Mancini's Sleepworld match-up, things are always a bit more interesting. Call it a rivalry game if you'd like, but just about every meeting has been close and hard fought. However, showing a maturity in their development as a team, Pipeline Platinum dropped the hammer this time out and crushed their bitter rivals 59-37, sending a message that they have arrived.

Displaying tremendous floor balance and hitting on all cylinders, Pipeline Platinum raced to their third straight victory and now stands at 3-1. Jeff Ridenour led the attack scoring 22, while Jason Cross chipped in 16. Gary Fields was also particularly strong on both ends of the court. With the win, the team sits in first place with one game remaining in the first half of the season.

One week after a disappointing loss to open the season in an overtime thriller, Platinum Pipeline rebounded with a workmanlike team effort to even their record at 1-1 with a victory over old rivals, Out of Shape. Led by Jeff Ridenour's 19 points and strong inside work, the team opened with a 10-0 run en route to a convincing 60-42 win. Jason Cross chipped in 16 points, and Gary Fields, the team's key off-season acquisition, wreaked havoc on both ends of the court to pace the team. Overall, the team exhibited excellent balance and depth and should be a strong contender for the league crown.

Pipeline Platinum Drops Season Finale

In the finale of what proved to be a disappointing campaign, an undermanned Pipeline Platinum fell 47-37 to league rivals, Out of Shape. After a competitive first half that saw the team leading 21-19, Pipeline Platinum, playing with only 5 members, wilted down the stretch. Tony Lynch nailed 5 treys and led all scorers with 15 points.

Fall League Basketball starts in September and the the team will look to reload and improve upon this season's 4-6 record.

Continuing a run of exemplary team play, Pipeline Platinum continued their recent resurgence with a convincing 51-43 victory over the first place club, The Dough Boys. After a slow start, Pipeline started to press the action and was able to cut an early 10 point deficit to 4 points by halftime. Then, in the second half, Pipeline Platinum took full control led by Jason Cross, who poured in all of his 14 points after the break. Jeff Ridenour added 10, and Matt Strope continued his all around strong play with another dominating performance on the offensive boards. Overall, this was another fantastic team effort that saw every member contribute that to a victory that brings the club within one game of .500%. The momentum that the team is currently generating will go a long way towards helping them move into Fall League as a contender to watch out for.

PIPELINE PLATINUM UPENDS MANCINIS

Few victories are more satisfying than those over a hated rival, and Pipeline Platinum was able to revel in their latest 50-44 win over longtime nemesis, Mancini's Sleepworld. In a season that has been difficult to overcome injuries and missing players, wins have been tough to come by. On this night though, even with missing personnel and leading scorer Jeff Ridenour in serious foul trouble, the team triumphed over all adversity to pull out a key win that could spoil the playoff hopes of Mancincis. It was a physical game to say the least, but Pipeline Platinum utilized a complete team effort to rally back from an 8 point deficit for a thrilling win. The team was keyed by the defense and free throw shooting of Mike Flanigan and Matt Strope, who hit his final six free throws in the last minute to preserve the win. Next up for the team is a rematch with the first place, Doughboys who won a close battle on opening night. War Pipeline Platinum!

Coming on the heels of two straight losses, and playing without leading scorer, Jeff Ridenour, Pipeline Platinum was in a precarious position. However, the club responded with a terrific overall effort en route to a 48-45 win over Dublin Toyota. "The Tractor" Ron Hubbard led the way with 17 points, and Charlie Cunningham and Mike Flanigan each added 10 in the key win that brought the team's record to 2-3 and kept their flagging playoff hopes alive.
